RATES

It’s time to invest in yourself! Becoming You Counseling accepts Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, FEP BCBS, or CareFirst. Another option is to contact your insurance company and ask if you have benefits for an “out-of-network provider.” If you have out-of-network benefits, you pay for sessions at the time they are provided and then I will provide you a “superbill” to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement according to the benefits of your plan.
For those without insurance or those who decide not to file with insurance, self-pay rates are listed below.

All payments are due at the end of each session. Intake paperwork will be completed using a HIPAA compliant, secure server where you will be asked to provide a credit card for payment. You may use your HSA, flexible spending account, or medical savings account funds to pay for therapy.

Rates:

  1. $150 per 60-minute intake session
  2. $140 per 50-55 minute session
  3. $75 per 30-minute maintenance session or additional time to the therapeutic hour

“The thing that is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself.” ~Anna Quindlen

Trauma and Unresolved Issues

“You weren’t just traumatized...you were convinced over time of a particular story about who you are, what you’re capable of, what you’re all about. Recovering from the trauma means rewriting that story with a story you choose...but stories are hard to shake.” ~ Dr. Glenn Doyal

Adults with ADHD

“You can’t change who you are, and you shouldn’t be asked to.” ~ Jonathan Moone ADHD can present lifelong challenges with work, relationships and more. Let’s tackle your challenges together.

Pregnancy and Postpartum Challenges

“Motherhood is the greatest thing and the hardest thing.” ~ Ricki Lake Your journey is yours alone but you should not be alone in it. This may be the first time in your life that you need to ask for a little help. It’s okay.

INSURANCE

Becoming You Counseling will file claims for clients who use listed in-network providers. It is strongly recommended that you contact your provider to confirm coverage, determine any possible deductibles, and copayments for therapy.

MANY CLIENTS CHOOSE NOT TO UTILIZE THEIR INSURANCE BENEFITS BECAUSE:

  1. It enhances client privacy within the counseling setting,
  2. It promotes a focus on health and strength rather than a focus on pathology since insurance companies require that the client be given a mental illness diagnosis for counseling services, and
  3. It enhances choice and power within counseling.

If you choose to file with your insurance provider, I RECOMMEND THAT YOU CHECK WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY PRIOR TO THE FIRST VISIT TO UNDERSTAND YOUR OUTPATIENT COUNSELING BENEFITS.

You should ask your insurance company about:

  1. Coverage for “outpatient counseling services”
  2. Reimbursement for an out-of-network Licensed Professional Counselor
  3. Any deductible amount
  4. Your insurance company may wish to look me up by my tax ID, which is EIN 86-1797470.
