RATES, INSURANCE, and CANCELLATION

It’s time to invest in yourself! Becoming You Counseling accepts Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, FEB BCBS, and CareFirst insurances. Another option is to use your out of network benefits. Please call and verify you have this benefit. Then, I will provide you with a “superbill” that you submit for reimbursement from your insurance company.

INSURANCE – INVEST IN YOURSELF

All sessions are via telehealth on a HIPAA compliant server. This maintains your privacy and saves you valuable commuting time. All you need is a quiet space with a reliable internet connection. You may use your phone, computer, or tablet.

CLIENTS CHOOSE NOT TO UTILIZE THEIR INSURANCE BENEFITS FOR MANY REASONS:

  1. It enhances client privacy within the counseling setting. This is especially important in our current world.
  2. It promotes a focus on health and strength rather than a focus on pathology since insurance companies require that the client be given a mental illness diagnosis for counseling services.
  3. It enhances choice and power within counseling. For example, some clients benefit from both counseling and coaching. When your needs lean toward coaching, we have the option of re evaluating your unique needs without you needing to start all over again with a new professional.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Let’s build and maintain a respectful relationship by honoring each other’s time! In other words, when you schedule a session, I expect you to keep it unless you have an emergency or occasional illness. If you need to reschedule, please provide a minimum 48 hour notice.

Cancellation fees include:

All payments are due at the beginning of each session. Intake paperwork will be completed using a HIPAA compliant server where you will be asked to provide a credit card for payment. You may use your HSA, flexible spending account, or medical savings account funds to pay for therapy.
